Moab and Area Hikes
Courthouse Wash
A few hundred feet north of where Hwy 191 crosses the Colorado River, turn right into a parking lot which is a staging ground for both cycling the paved bike path into Arches National Park or walking the lower Courthouse Wash. This hike will take you into Arches via its 'backdoor' — a creek valley that has left a deep cut in the Navajo sandstones that dominate this area. It is a sensory extravaganza that offers a great escape from the hustle and bustle of Moab.
