An hour and a half west of Moab lies one of Utah's crown jewels. Take 191 north to I-70 Go west on the interstate for 20 minutes to Hwy 24 then south to Hanksville. Continue along Hwy 24 following the Freemont River to the Park boundary. This protected area provides a smorgasbord of visual wonders ranging from the improbable bee hive domes skyscraper high in Navajo sandstone to the tapestry walls in desert varnish of the legendary Capitol Gorge.
